NEKSTEP – A step forward for youth in less dynamic environments

The project NEKSTEP is intended for young people between the ages of 14 and 29, who are transitioning from education to employment, and for the counselors who work with them.

About the project

The project aims to facilitate the transition between education and employment for young people in our region, regardless of the level at which they complete their formal education. We want to make this transition easier for them and equip young people with the knowledge and skills needed to carry this transition out independently and sovereignly. We want to connect youth with the local environment and stakeholders in it – not only with employers but also with institutions that can help them.

companies or individuals who want to present their profession to young people
organisations that help young people on their career or enterpreneuiral path.

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
Together we discuss your interests, wishes and worries you may have about your career. Through questionnaries and active listnenig we help you answer questions about which schoool to go to, which profession you may choose.

PRESENTATIONS OF PROFESSIONS AND WORK ORGANISATIONS
We can arrange a job shadowing in a local company or help you get a closer look at the professions you are interested in.

NETWORKING EVENTS
Through networking events we bring closer the job market and the young people approaching it.

INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS AND LECTURES
We encourage young people to think about their abilities, knowledge and interests in an interactive way. We help them gain information about the labour market and getting a job. In our activities young people can prepare a CV (a video one too), get ready for a job interview and together we discover how can they use digital technology to create their career.

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING FOR YOUNG ENTERPRENOURS
Together we discuss the wishes, interests and worries you may have regarding your enterprenourial path and help you answer potential questions.

NETWORKING WITH SUCESSFUL ENTERPRENOURS
Young enterprenours meet and network with established enterprenours. They exchange experiences, learn form eachother and connect.

INTERACTIVE LECTURES AND WORKSHOPS
We help young enterprenours develop their business idea, teach them the basics about digital marketing and leadership in a dynamic and interactive way.

LECTURES AND WORKSHOPS
Counselours and mentors working with young people can be involved in our activities, where they learn new ways to best answer their needs, discover new ways to motivate and approach young people.

Netwroking events (conferences, panels of experts …) give counselours and mentors the possibility to exchange experiences, learn from eachother. Some of these events offer also the opportunity to meet young people and connect with them.
